Week 34: Que Kachiãi

When the lights and electricty of the whole town go out the morning before Church, you know it will be a memorable Sunday. And it sure was. Without air conditioning, lights or a speaker the sacrament meeting began. A faithful congergation waving makeshift fans to cool down. The Paraguayo Missionaries on the this email list would understand the brutality of sitting for 30 minutes in the un conditioned chapel till half way through the meeting, the lights turned on again. To be honest it was a precious experience for me, the windows were open shining in natural light into the chapel. The Spirit was there as the people, sweating a little, took there seats and listened to the prelude music I got to play. There genuine comittment and faithfullness to come to church, without lights, some without water in their houses inspired me. Would I have come to church back home? Would you have gone? Knowing it could be 90+ degrees the whole meeting? The lights and air did evenutally come back...
