Week 32: The Devil's Got My Bike!!
Haupei.
Another wild week.
- Earlier this week, I got the chance to teach a family of Athesits. There questions where profound and when we got there we started a deep doctrinal discussion which got cut short cause we had another lesson to go to. But, they are accpeting the lessons and next time we go by we are planning to blow their minds with the Plan of Salvation.
- I also got to teach the gospel in English for the first time in my life. We are teaching this man named Gustavo who teaches English for a living, and his son, Givoanni litterally was born in New Jersey and speaks better English then Spanish. So, we taught a lesson about Baptism and the Book of Mormon in English. And he said he'd come to church!
- Then, on Friday Morning, we went out with an ex-missionary from our mission, who served here 5 years ago. We were walking along when this guy stopped his bike trailer thing, and told me I had a weapon on me. Dumbfounded, I sorta just stared at him. Then he pointed at the Book of Mormon I had in my hand, and told me that was a weapon. He got off his bike and we began to teach him when his bike started rolling away jaja. "The devil's got my bike!" he cried and my comp and I ran after his bike which was rolling down the hill and stopped it. It was hilarious.
- Finally, we had the baptism of Cristian yesterday. It was a sweet experience and he is going to get the Priesthood next week it sounds like and the whole family is preparing to go to the temple!!
