Week 26: Jesucristo Es La Navidad... And Other Notes
Haupei! And Merry Christmas.
--> Christmas Eve we painted a wall. It was pretty dope. Then we went and spent Christmas Eve at a members house, which as Stringam put it was NOT a very silent night with all the bombitas (firecrackers) that all the kids liked to throw at us missionaries and us missionaries might have thrown back at them.
--> Christmas, we woke up and got to call our family in the morning to celebrate with them... then out of nowhere we got a call to drop everything we are doing and be at the bus terminal in 20 minutes to go to Asuncíon.
Mba'e piko?!?
Sooo we packed up and scadaddled. It was awesome though cause we were in the office with all the zone leaders who had there leadership conference the next day... so everyone thought we were new zone leaders
--> Thursday we fixed my visas which is why we were there in the first place and then we traveled the entire day. Howecer, I got to teach these two woman on the bus we were on which turned into the whole front of the bus hearing a fair portion of the story of the Resotration. Seeds Seeds Seeds.
--> Also Sunday, we got to be a part of the baptism of Alexssandro who is a friend that was taught by the other Elders and now the Hermanas, but who we also taught 2 or 3 times. He can't walk really, and so I helped Elder Stringam who the Baptism. It was a powerful experience.
All in all, Merry Christmas! Here in a couple of days I hit 6 months as a Missionary! And Wow what an experience it has been, I encourage everyone of you to prepare to serve! Jesus Christ lives, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the power it acclaims. The evidence is the Book of Mormon. Read It.
Randomness:
- The streets have completely broken out into Orbeeeez, groups of teenagers are just seen nightly roaming the streets, chasing each other on motor-bikes, and doing drive by shootings with these harmless little nerf gun upgrades.
- Macarena o Makanero?
-Wheredidmywalletgo?
-2025 is a 100 years since missionaries came to South America
Chao Chao (yes I spelled it wrong Malia)
