Week 10: *Insert Awkward Silence*

Woahhhhh! Just like that I am on my 4th week here in Paraguay, and week 11 of my mission! I will say its wackk Nathan that your still at the MTC.

Couple epic things from this week...

First, Tuesday we had splits and I went with a comp that only speaks Spanish... and I was leading in Piribebuy. Whichhhh was quite the adventure. We ended up getting turned around by my mapping skills and couldnt find no one but it was a good time!

We also got to have a baptism this week. Well sorta... he is an 8 year old named Jonas and his mom is inactive but still wanted him to be baptized and his grandpa and uncle are super active... sooo we spent like 3 hours Friday night filling and cleaning the font ( and perhaps freestyle rapping about the gospel)

The baptism Saturday was chaotic. And its sad because the branch here and stuff, but church and events are super poorly attended so it was a little disheartening to see how few members came to support him... but was still a wonderful first baptismal experience on the mish for me!!

We were pulling up later that same baptismal night to talk and congragulate Jonas and his family and we walked in on a HUGE party cause they were also celebrating Jonas' 8th birthday and as soon as we walked in and "were like heyy were looking for Jonas!"...and there was just silence haha the whole party just stopped. *insert akward silence* and we were like "uhhh we'll come back". It was funny but also sad cause they were just partying and then it just all went quiet when they saw it was the missionaries. insert akward silence haha

Finally, sunday i gotta give a semi-impromtu talk. And BOY is the gift of tounges real! My message was about the doctrine of christ. And what I love about this doctirne is how it is a process of change and elevation  possible because of christ. First, we have faith in Christ who makes it all possible. Then we change our hearts, our minds, our actions through repentance. We committ to God were going to be better through baptism and the sacrament. And finally are sanctified, purified, and elevated by the Spirit. Thenn as Nephi says: "after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save!!!!" 2nd Nephi 31: 19 (YES nephi used those exclamation points) You have to rely on Christ. Have Faith. Change. Commit sincerely to be better. Allow the spirit to sanctify and elevate. I can testify this is the process of the gospel of christ. It is how we can becomw perfected through him.

Love yall stay safe!! Dont let the dogs bite you, and if they do just make sure to ask if they've been vaccinated. ( or is that just something they say here??)
