Es La Pelota!
With that I have been a missionary for 2 months! WACKK. In some ways it feel´s like I just started yesterday, in others like I have lived here my whole life.
First, we walked alot this week! We have one friend who lives like way out in the middle of nowhere on top of a hill, and a couple of nights we were walking for an hour, hour an a half just to get to her house. Her name is Jazmin and she has been getting taught by the missionaries for a year and a half now. The only thing stopping her from getting baptized is she is living with someone she is not married too. The miracle was we decided we would all fast together so she could recieve an answer and after a fast all day Saturday into Sunday, we got a text from her saying she got an answer, is going to break up with her boyfriend and probably be baptized as a result! Her daughter, Alejandra is also so precious! We were at their house sunday night and we just kept throwing a tennis ball to her and everytime she would say ¨es la pelota!!¨ she had an infectious energy that only a 5 year old can have haha!!
The kids here and I get along so amazing! Monday night I was out shooting a basketball around and 3 paraguan boys 12-13 years old came and we just shot around and ended up playing a 2 on 2 haha! So fun haha and there my new pday buddies! I told them every Pday we would be back!
Second, I had my first Zone Conference this week! IT was freakin fire! I got to see some buddies from the MTC (freakin stick with it E´ Linton and Roberts!) and just had an awesome day of lessons and discussions all about the Spirit!
Third, I had my first set of divisions (splits) with my zone leader since my comp is a district leader. His name was Elder Flete and we went to his area in Icupacar´e Friday Morning till Saturday afternoon. The splits were FANTASTIC!! Me and E´ Flete are kindred spirits!!! And I learned a ton of Spanish!!
My epiphany from this week is from 2nd Nephi 4 go and read it cause it had a profound impact on me this week. It talks alot about how we need to rejoice despite and even in the face of our afflictions, and to always remember in whom we have trusted. Go and read it! It had a profound impact on my perspective on the trials and affilictions every mission presents to remember, be greatful and rejoice in the work!!
Love you all, feel absolutely free to email ahha anytime I love reading them.
