Well You Guys Are In Trouble...
What a final week it has been! We were planning on leaving Tuesday but thanks to a late transfer or a plane thing or whatever we got on final P-Day at the CCM.
This week has been all out Spanish and Doctrinal sprint. The spirit has been strong and our district is so unfied. It will be really hard and already has been hard to say goodbye to Elder Vainoka, who left at 3 am Tuesday Morning. It was awesome because we all woke up for him and did the Hakka he taught us as a goodbye. It was a special moment.. 3 am 5 americans, a south afircan and a tongan just casually doing the Hakka at 3 in the morning! (Someone videoed it and I put it in the Google Photos)
Bishop Caussé the Presiding Bishop of the Church came thus week!! He did a devotional with us on Monday afternoon. It was an absolutely fire devotional and the atmosphere of the small packed room, with somewhere between 50 to100 missonaries and mission leaders, was so powerful. His message was about tasting the fruit and accessing the full blessings of Christs Atonement. "If you have thought to sing the Song of Reedeming Love, I would ask can you feel so now? from Alma 5:26 was essentially his message. Elder Roberts my goodness haha he got called up to draw the tree of life and as he went to meet the Presiding Bishop of the Church, he had forgotten his tag and was wearing the wrong tag. So he was like "Hello, Elder Parkinson" and he was like "nope i am Eld3r Roberts".
Presidente Jeffery of our Branch was talking with us about Guarani which is like the natibe language of Paraguay and we showed him an audio recording of the Book of Mormon in Guarani and he was like... welll you guys are in trouble. Turns out they actually speak alot of Guarani. We will find out Friday I guess.
Elder Bednar gave a live really fantastic devotional last night about the Book of Mormon. It was a powerful witness to a daily growing testimony of that book. Please Read! I know that it is the word of God. All you got to do is to study it to know.
I invite you all to listen to this talk by Elder Holland which I testify will only bolster your desire to read.
Saftey for the Soul.
I won't make this email long since I plan on writing again Monday if I get the chance. Love you all!! This church is true. Stay the course!
